Hi, Dan! Exactly how did you mic up the acoustic guitar (distance and location from source, number of mics, etc) at the beginning of Ingrid’s “Keep Breathing” (or any acoustic guitar, in general)? It sounds great! Thanks for all you post here.

I believe that was just a 4033 about a foot from the guitar. These days, my set up is generally a Pearlman TM-1 about a foot away, a Mojave MA200 at the same spot but 45 degrees off axis, and another Mojave about five feet away for room sound. I feel like stereo miking is important if you’re not going to double. But the acoustic on Keep Breathing (played by the majestic Chris Kuffner) is doubled, so a stereo miking wasn’t really necessary.
