what’s the best way to edit down a song? i wanna use a song for a project but it’s 30 secs longer than what the prof wants.

Take out any part that doesn’t have vocals. Intro, an extra bar after a verse, cut your pre chorus in half, does it HAVE to be 4 bars long?!?! Make your first chorus a half chorus. No double choruses. Does it need an intro? Probs not! No one cares about your instrumentals, people care about your singer and their lyrics. Believe me. Usually, anyway. I could list MANY songs that that doesn’t apply to. But do it. To be safe. For now.
